Textile products have limited dyeing resistance to light (colour/dye retention factor) which depends on the kind of a raw material, dyes and additives applied. In all knitted fabrics produced by ZTK Teofilów S.A., those made of natural fibres (cotton, flax) dyed in white, bright and natural colours have the lowest dyeing resistance.

Factors which increase the impact of light on knitted fabrics are: ambient temperature and humidity. In order to minimise the impact of light and other threatening factors, knitted fabrics should be stored in dry, well-ventilated and uninsolated rooms.

If a storage area is lit with daylight, the products should be protected against light, for instance by covering windows with curtains, shutters, paper sheets or other opaque material. Cuttled and packaged knitted fabric should be stored in piles with a maximum height of 1 m (to exclude edge bruises).
