Before market launch, knitted fabrics produced in ZTK Teofilów S.A. are tested in laboratories according to the applicable Polish Standards (compliant or conforming with their international counterparts). The results of the tests in question are then compared with the requirements stipulated in the Technical Specification for a given knitted fabric.
Binding standard: PN -P- 82011 Textile products. Permissible formaldehyde content.
Maximum allowable values of measurement change after washing, as well as dye (colour) retention factors have been specified for each kind of knitted fabric in the Technical and Technological Data Sheet.
In addition, the quality and maximum permissible number of errors has been specified in the Quality Assessment Instruction binding in ZTK Teofilów S.A.
Errors in grade I items are discounted (see the difference in gross-net metric area on the label). The discount amounts to 10 cm of fabric (along total width) for 1 error.
Detailed information may be obtained from our Trade Department.
Tests concerning colour retention are made using accompanying samples and form the basis for the assessment of a given knitted fabric’s compliance with the requirements included in a particular Technical and Technological Data Sheet. Sometimes certain fabrics which contain the addition of fibres other than those specified in the applicable standard (e.g. polyamide) may have lower a colour retention coefficient. Knowing the intentions of our customers in terms of planned additions or combinations, we are able to carry out proper laboratory tests to verify this coefficient for a given fibre mixture. The coefficients ensured by ZTK Teofilów S.A. are no lower, and sometimes even much higher than that stipulated in the applicable Technical and Technological Data Sheet. Furthermore, customers are entitled to require the retention factor in question to be higher than declared in the Sheet if, for instance, contrasting colour combinations are planned (e.g. white-red, etc.). However, it sometimes requires an additional technological sample to be provided which entails an increase in costs. Thus, details of planned material and colour combinations have to be submitted in order to establish proper finishing parameters and produce credible price calculations.
